With the release of Book Creator 4.3, you can now export GarageBand tracks directly to Book Creator. Here's how.
1. Export from GarageBand
Once you've finished your track and saved it in GarageBand, it will appear as an icon on the GarageBand home screen.
Tap Select and choose your track, then tap the export icon in the top left (a box with an arrow pointing upwards).
Now, choose 'Open in...' in the second row of icons.
Note: If you see Book Creator listed in the top row of icons and tap it, you'll get an error message saying Book Creator doesn't support GarageBand project files. That's why you need to use the 'Open in...' method, to export and convert the project first.
After you tap 'Open in...' you'll get a 'Share Song' dialogue box where you can adjust the settings. When ready, tap the Share link in the top right.
Now you'll get a list of apps to choose from. If you don't see Book Creator, tap on the More icon (with the three dots) and toggle on Book Creator, then tap Done. You'll now be able to tap on it to choose it.
You should see a dialogue box that says 'Sent to Book Creator'.
2. Add the track to Book Creator
For audio files that you've created in another app and shared, it's slightly different.
You'll need to tap the + icon in the toolbar and then tap the Shared icon at the bottom of the menu. This is where any shared content is stored until you use it.
Tap on your track and you'll be presented with the option to add it as an audio hotspot (button) or as a soundtrack to your book.
