With Book Creator 5.1, teachers can publish books online. You'll get a unique link for your book which you can share so others can read your book on the web, on any device.
How to publish your book online:
1. Export the book
Tap the export icon beneath your book on the My Books screen and choose Publish Online.
2. Create a Teacher Account
The first time you do this, you will be prompted to create a Teacher Account. You can do this with your email address or with a Google account.
3. Confirm book details
You'll then be asked to confirm the book details - note that you'll need to add a book title and author name before the book will publish. These details will be visible on the published book. Tap the Publish link in the top right when ready.
4. Wait for the email confirmation
You'll get a message saying that your book is uploading. You'll see the upload progress in the globe icon in the top right of the book's cover, which will turn blue as the book uploads. If you want to cancel during this time, tap on the icon and tap Stop Publishing.
This globe icon will remain on any of your published books so you can easily see which of your books have been published online.
5. Access your book online
When the email comes through, you'll get a unique link (URL) to your book. Note that this book is not searchable on Google or other websites - only people you share the link with will be able to access the book.
You can also tap on the globe icon on your book's cover and either view the book online or share the link.

6. Editing your book
A cool feature of published books is that any changes you make to the book in Book Creator for iPad are automatically saved to the online version. So there's no need to re-publish your book each time you change it. Just refresh the browser and you'll see the changes take effect.
7. Unpublishing your book
If at any time you want to unpublish your book, simply tap on the globe icon in the top right corner of your book on the iPad. Tap the Unpublish link and the book will no longer be accessible on the web.
8. Signing out of Book Creator
You'll know you're signed into Book Creator as you'll see an avatar icon in the toolbar. Tap on this to sign out at any time.
9. Privacy and Terms of service
You must always get permission before you share images and data online, and take care to follow your school's policies for sharing online.
